CASE STUDY 1

Saudi Monsha’at NCB Accelerator 

Background

Monsha’at and NCB wanted to provide an intensive training program that extends to accelerating business.

The participants’ trip ends on the day of the presentations of their pitch decks by hosting a group of financial technology experts and investors.

Scope

  • A 6-months accelerator program that scouts, trains, mentors and supports Saudi FinTechsthrough their growth and scaling stage
  • Workshops and mentoring sessions to help participants perfect their final pitch deck and products. Startups will have access to Seed Funding & free services to facilitate their growth. Also, a 1-year engagement program
  • Startups will have access to Fintech Galaxy’s Sandbox equipped with over 300 APIs that helps the start-ups test their products or prototypes

Value Delivered

  • An end-to-end journey of developing 10 FinTechs from Saudi Arabia that includes business model redesign, go to market, technical support, governance and leadership
  • A fully integrated fintech journey, including full support for FinTechs to raise funds, connect with financial institutions for business development and with investors for fund raising

Global Grad Show Initiative

Background

A new initiative for 2019, the Global Grad Show Entrepreneurship Programme offered participating graduates a route to advance their projects towards implementation.150 global universities were asked to participate, and 23 teams were selected to come to Dubai and join the initiative.

Value Delivered

Online Programme

Following an open call to all Global Grad Show participants, the entrepreneurship programme started with an online training phase through Mind Cloud Tribe platform, based on dedicated content developed for  early-stage  projects. Participants  enhanced  their understanding of key business concepts, entrepreneurship, start-up building and social enterprises. The online training included assessments of the graduates’ progress, tutorials and exercises around the value proposition and viability of their projects.

Bootcamp

The two-day boot camp hosted 23 graduates who successfully completed the online programme. Held in Dubai ahead of the exhibition, it included intensive workshops, tutorials and mentoring, where entrepreneurship specialists and industry experts from Mind Cloud Academy, supported graduates to refine their business proposals and pitches.

Demo night

The resulting investment decks were presented by each graduate during a demo night attended by ICD, A.R.M. Holding fund investment committee, invited accelerators and investors from the region.

MAAN Impact Accelerators

Background

MA’AN wanted to organize 2 Ventures Pilots Accelerators in Abu Dhabi to accelerate 2×12 Startups & have a Demo Day for investors & potential pilot partners.

Scope

  • A 6-months accelerator program that scouts, trains, mentors and supports 12 startups in each themed accelerator through their growth and scaling stage, & pilot pitching to a local partner
  • Workshops and coaching sessions to help participants perfect their final pitch deck and products. Startups will have access to Grants & free services to facilitate their growth
  • Raising the quality of nominated companies by offering 1-1 mentorship sessions that help participants understand local partners, design and develop the solutions applied to those partners, and learn about the readiness of their projects through a clear KPI roadmap designed and followed up on with every startup

Mind Cloud Community Building

Background

Mind Cloud wanted to build a vibrant and engaging community from scratch, and create a brand that relates to entrepreneurs in one year.

Scope – 1st Year

  • 5 cohorts: weekly social media posts and videos, startups and entrepreneurs’ profiles and testimonials, demo day videos.
  • 5 cohorts groups on Whatsapp and a group alumni group on Whatsapp
  • 12 free workshops over 12 months to educate new entrepreneurs about entrepreneurship
  • 12 social meetups over 12 months inviting alumni and extended network for networksing
  • 3000 entrepreneurs in Mind Cloud Community over Social Media channels
  • 20 interviews in different media outlets
  • 18 in depth articles around entrepreneurship

Communication, Space & Technology Commission Bootcamp

Background

CST wanted to organize a Bootcamp Program virtually for 17 Space Tech ideas/projects to upskill them into being ready for the accelerator phase, & prototype ready. We ran a 21 days bootcamp of training, coaching, 1on1 mentorship & prototyping

Scope

  • A 21-day intensive bootcamp that scouts, trains, coaches, mentors, prototypes and supports 17 projects in Space Tech, to get them investment ready, prototype ready, & eligible for the next phase: Space Tech Accelerator
  • Participants had access to MCT digital products, & 20 coaching sessions to help participants perfect their final pitch deck and products. Startups also had access to prototyping coaches, & 1on1Space mentors
  • Raising the quality of participants projects by offering 1-1 mentorship sessions from leading Space Tech mentors, helped participants understand better the industry, & how to validate their markets

Value Delivered

  • An end-to-end journey of developing 17 projects in KSA market that includes business model redesign, go to market, technical support, prototyping, leadership and pitch deck
  • A fully integrated journey to help the projects validate their ideas and markets, build their prototypes, & pitch to CST committee in order to be eligible for the CST incubator.
